1. I just conducted a really fascinating, in-depth and occasionally confounding interview with Matt Olsen of Gaza Surf Club, which I’ll be releasing next week. If you haven’t yet seen the Gaza Surf Club documentary, I highly recommend it. Watch the trailer above.

2. Last week I posted a link to Guardian writer Jonathan Liew’s piece on how Parkrun is now a trans rights culture war battleground. The backlash against the piece has been vociferous, and the calls to strip Parkrun of its funding continues: more here.

3. This Leading interview with Anthony Scaramucci, Trump’s old comms guy, is simultaneously riotously entertaining while also pretty terrifying, especially when he discusses what he refers to as ‘The Trump Doctrine’.

The Weekly Bugle

4. It’s the latest ‘turn-heard-around-the-world’, and in this week’s Surf Bugle column, Ben Mondy does a brilliant job of contextualising Molly Picklum’s Sunset-snap-for-the-ages.

5. This latest Finisterre short from Seth Hughes, Mike Lay and Colin McLeod is really making me question why I haven’t yet made it to the Hebrides for a surf.
