Well they asked me to be a judge for the Wilbur Smith Adventure Writing Prize (I'm currently two thirds of the way through the shortlist, and what a lovely gig that is). presumably because I post a lot about the books I'm reading, and discusses frequently on the podcast. Then they said 'We also do a podcast, do you fancy being a guest?' So I said yes. And here we are.
