4. Good to see The Big Sea story finally getting some international traction, with Stab and Beach Grit the latest to belatedly wake up to the topic. As you’ll know if you’ve been following the story since I began covering it in November last year, one of the more interesting strands has been the reluctance of ‘legacy’ media or brands to go anywhere near the issues raised in the films. Wonder whether this will change now that Stab and Beach Grit (who, interestingly, don’t rely on the old ad-funding model, and so are free to publish what they want) have weighed in.

7. I love getting tips from listeners and readers, so keep em coming! The latest was this great podcast about the Woolsey Fires which decimated Malibu back in 2018. (I discussed this at length my pal Jamie Brisick during our second LS conversation here).
8. Occasionally the algorithm throws up something truly special, such as this compilation of Curtis McCann footage by Winstan Whitter which I somehow missed the first time around.
9. The line-up to this year’s Global Wave Conference looks kinda interesting, and there are plenty of friends-of-the-show taking part, like Oli Russell-Cowan, host of the excellent Rad Season podcast. Find out more here.
