1. My latest episode with Stacy Peralta. I’ve been so hyped with the response to this legend’s appearance on the show. Listeners have loved Stacy’s humbleness and creative insights. If you’ve already listened, I’d love to know what you think. Join the discussion by clicking below:
2. A few years ago I was lucky enough to work with talented film-maker Jon Moy on a campaign for GB Park & Pipe. At the time I was hugely impressed with his work ethic and approach. So I can’t wait to see how his latest project unfolds. It’s a hugely ambitious attempt to document the effect of climate change by climbing and skiing the Seven Summits that Jon is tackling in typically creative style. Watch the trailer above.
3. Brand collabs are ten-a-penny. Collabs that are genuinely creatively interesting and make a difference? Not so common. So hats off to Stance for this partnership with Ranger Lab. Watch the film above.
4. The other week I delivered another of my day-long How To Podcast And Interview People (OK, it’s a working title, don’t @ me) workshops, this time for my friends at engineering company Watson-Marlow. This session is part workshop, part practical podcast tutorial, and part talk on the art of creativity and storytelling. It went so well that I’m now thinking of offering it to other companies and brands.
As Christian who commissioned the original talk put it afterwards:
“…this is such a valuable workshop, not just for those interested in podcasts but more widely the importance of storytelling as well as considering how we can communicate in a more engaging and empathetic way. The workshop completely shifted our understanding of the value of not just podcasts but storytelling to support cultural development with purpose. Just brilliant”.

5. Jamie Brisick has a new season of his fantastic Soundings podcast out now, and he was just a guest on Swell Season another of my favourite shows. This is great - listen to the episode above.
6. Big news for British surfing as youngsters Lukas Skinner, Alys Barton and Arthur Randle (above) won 3 European titles at the recent 2022 EuroSurf Championships. What a brilliant endorsement of the tireless grassroots efforts that have led to this point.
7. Similar in spirit to the LS x Db Fund that I’ve been harping on about for the past few weeks, my pals at MPORA are running a photography competition with some cold, hard cash as a prize. Find out more and enter here.
8. I’m a big admirer of grassroots environmental groups such as Re-Action, who are quietly carrying out impactful projects such as 10,000 Repairs, a ‘citizen science’ project ‘designed to keep kit in use in the wild where it belongs, save planetary resources and gather information to help us understand how we can make a bigger impact’. Find out more here.
9. I meant to post this last week, but big up Jacob Sawyer for scoring this interview with the Gonz over at the Slam City blog. Click here to read it
10. The other day I began an Open Thread asking whether it’s ever OK for brands to NOT pay creatives and contributors for their time and expertise. The ensuing debate has been fascinating - click here to read the responses and join in.
